Regarding CPT v5.04 Pro:

Here is what I'd like to do, but can't seem to figure out how:
I want to run through all my scheduled opening training games in a single data base, see the entire line prior to being tested and go through the complete line.
I think I have all the settings right - Only Scheduled, Complete Line, Restart After Wrong Move. However, I see that the Always Demo Line First check box is grayed out. Why is that and how do I get the training to preview the line before I go through and respond to the move series?
I see that if I deselect Only Scheduled, I get the Always Demo Line First option back, but I'm looking to play the scheduled lines, so I need this option available.
What am I missing?

The manual suggests that the "Demo line" along with a couple of other features are only available if you select the "Complete Line Mode" - which you say you are. I too did notice that with certain configuration the "Demo line" box is grey-out - but in my instance with the box checked. However if you click on "Systematic" this enables the box. So I'd suggest click on that option ("Systematic") - change the check mark (on the "Demo Line" box) as appropriate and then revert back to "Complete Line Mode". Hopefully that will work for you.

Dave, thanks for the feedback. You are correct in that if I switch to systematic I'm able to check the Always Demo Line First and then when I go back to 'Only Scheduled' the check box remains, but grayed out.
However, when I start the training it's not demonstrating the line. I've tried different databases with the same result.

Stephan, do you have any ideas on this?

Problems with comments

When i try to learn my repertoire and im in training mode i only succeed in letting me see the comments on the moves of the opponent (which appear rather quick after i made the right move.

Rather i'd like to see the comments on my own moves while in training. I tried the various modes in the hint-department, no success.
Can anyone help (or is my version corrupt?)

I usually don't use comments but I did with a new database just to check to see what happens. In repertoire mode I made comments for both the white and black side of the game. When I went into training I could only see a "Hint" for moves made by the other side and not the comments for my moves. Why it's shown as a hint in one mode and comment in another I can't guess.

Also, I see that when train in the next line, the last 'hint' is still being displayed and doesn't clear out as it should.

I'm relatively new here also and like putting comments on for training and review. I find that comments in the Rep section are the hints in the training section which can be toggled on or off. (Different options for when you want them displayed.) I think of it this way, you have a position which is unique with this program and the comments are attached to this position how ever you bring it up. (Detailed comments = detailed hints.) Ive turned comments (hints) on for the initial couple training sessions then turn them off later.
