I suspect this is one for Stefan as I guess converting the words, say, "Knight-f-three" to an appropriate keyboard or mouse move might be tricky. However nice idea! :)

On a similar theme has anyone come across software that would record the moves as speech? I knew an organisation who were trying to generate the recorded moves by playing through a game, say with Chessbase, so that they could make them available to partially sighted players. The idea was to automate it, not manually record it. If anyone has any ideas or knowledge please let me know and I will pass it on. Thanks.

Best regards

Dave

Alas, it is the other way around. They do not want to play a game by calling out their moves. [A useful feature nevertheless]. They wanted a program that would play through an historic game and announce the moves as a voice recording. This voice recording would then be made available to their members so that they could listen to the game, from the past, by hearing the moves being announced.
Kind regards
